Is Jennifer Hudson's wedding on hold?, Jennifer Hudson has come a very long way from her days at American Idol. She has also suffered a lot as well, on October 24, 2008 the singer’s mother, brother and nephew were shot and killed by William Balfour the estranged husband of Julia, Hudson’s sister.

I cannot begin to imagine how strong she is to get through something like that. She opened up to Oprah later on in her career and shared how she just wants to make the family, she lost so tragically, proud.
